During World War I and II several countries planted Victory Gardens. Communities planted fruit trees and vegetables for the troops and for their neighborhoods as well.
I live in a small town of 35,000 people. My neighborhood is only eight houses. We have a beautiful common area. My neighbors and I are talking about having a neighborhood garden next spring. We have some small trees and bushes that need to be replaced. We are adding fruit trees to replace the common bushes that are being taken out.
Gardens equal health
More people are telling me that they are not going back to the ‘rat race’. They are enjoying family time. Many have left social media, just as I have. I find I’m communicating with my family more than I was when I was on social media. Life is simpler. Stress is reduced.
Now to the home gardens. With the quarantine in place more home gardens have been made this past summer. I saw some beautiful vegetable gardens. The health benefits go beyond eating organic food.
Fresh vegetables taste better than produce in the grocery store. The other health benefits are being out in the fresh air. The exercise we do working in the soil exposes us to different movements with our body. Our muscles are sore after working outside in the fresh air.
To see new life coming forth as the tender plants push through the soil reaching towards the sun is satisfying. Children learn how food is really produced. However, they learn that gardening is hard work. Young ones learn working in the soil gives them a sense of accomplishment.
Natural Health
Instead of walking blindly through life, walk in nature, open your eyes! My intuition is sharper now that I am disconnected from the chaos. Above all, my connection to Spirit is stronger. Everyone is connected to Spirit and one another. Open your heart and receive your blessings!
Disconnect from the ‘rat race’ and reconnect with yourself, your family, and friends. Once you step into the natural life, you learn more about the world around you. For instance, mankind was close to nature in the past. Our ancestors were one with nature. Modern mankind has lost this connection.
Reconnect with yourself! Above all, align yourself mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. After that, you notice your health is improved. One can’t be totally healthy unless we are aligned within ourselves, in all areas of our life.
In conclusion, take action to center yourself within and with nature. After that, enjoy the health benefits of being one with yourself and nature!
