Guilty Prayers by Janet Lynas, Ph.D., N.H.D.

Guilty Prayers, we all pray them.  How do we work through life’s crises?  What happens if we do not?  Guilty Prayers takes a look at guilt, bitterness, fear, emotional pain, self-blame, depression, lost love, forgiveness, prayers, getting to know God, and judging.  All of these emotions are detrimental to us mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually if not acknowledged and dealt with.

Guilty Prayers

Guilty Prayers was penned over thirty years ago.  It started out as an article for publication with a Christian magazine.  But as life often does, it threw me a curve.  The story was packed away for a move as I transitioned from one community to another.  Three moves and thirty-two years later, it was found in the bottom of a file cabinet drawer.

As I have matured, so has Guilty Prayers.  You will find a common theme throughout this book.  The first lesson is to pay attention to what you are thinking.  We are what we think and we manifest into our lives what we think.  If you think, “I am poor,” then so you shall be.

The second lesson you will find in this book is to know yourself.  Until you know who you truly are, you will not be able to have a meaningful and deep relationship with your Creator or with anyone else.  It is scary to take a look at the dark shadow side of our emotions.  It is deep within these shadows that we do not want to look because we do not want to admit that we have this dark side.

It is by no chance or oversight that Guilt Prayers has thirteen chapters.  The number thirteen in Angle numbers represents a message from your angels that some upheavals may take place in your life.  This is just what happened to me.

http://angelsarchangelsascendedmasters.blogspot.com.au/2014/10/channelling-messages-from-angels.html

August 4,2017, I was run over by a semi truck.  My car was totaled and I received a concussion causing a headache that has been with me every day since the accident, which at this time has been a year.  I was not able to return to my nursing career because of the headache and occasional brain fog.  I lost a vital part of who I am that day.  Nursing was not a job or career for me, but a passion and my mission in serving people.

Angel number thirteen also means, that the upheaval can be a blessing in disguise.  That is certainly true in my case.  Spirit has been nudging me all these years to write articles and books that will help people and bless their lives.  In past years, I have been published in magazines and papers, however, it was only occasionally that I wrote.  This is not what Creator God wanted from me.

Angel number thirteen is also a message that my angels and ascended masters are guiding me and helping me along my life’s journey. I know this to be try for me.  My needs have always been met by my angels and Creator.  I am now living my Divine purpose and helping people in a different way.  I am following my Divine path.

I will take sections from my upcoming book for discussion in this Spirituality section.  We will explore what happens to us spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically when we do not deal with emotions that are overwhelming to us.

Let’s begin the journey.

“God, why won’t she die?  I can’t take this anymore!  Don’t you care whether or not she hurts, can’t you hear her screaming out in pain? God, if you are not going to heal her, then let her die, or do you like seeing her suffer like this?”

Guilty Prayers, we all pray them.  What causes the conflict in our prayer life?  Do we become a sinner when we utter prayers of strife?

We come to a crossroads and wonder how should we pray?  A wife, husband, child, or someone we hold dear becomes terminally ill, or fate deals a cruel blow and someone is hurt beyond human repair.  Our hearts are torn in crushing anguish and we do not know how to pray.  Do we pray that they will be spared from this horrible suffering?  Do we pray for prolonged life?  What are we supposed to pray and how do we pray?

We will continue in the next posting.

I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes Part 10 by Janet Lynas, Ph.D., N.H.D.

Do you want world peace?  Really, do you?  How would we go about finding world peace when it is hard to find peace within our own soul?

As, we come to a close on the review of the book, I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes by Glenn Clark, I want to explore Mr. Clark’s thoughts on world peace.

To attain world peace, we must attain peace within our own soul’s inner spirit.  This has to happen before we can attain harmony as a nation, then as a world.  Changing individual lives is the first step in attaining world peace.  It is true that change starts with just one individual.

The second step is the hardest in that it involves addressing the greed that is involved in economic, educational and religious cooperation.  The world monetary system will have to be eliminated as well.  Sounds like ‘Star Trek’  doesn’t it?

Third, are we willing to move forward to make sure that everyone’s needs are met?  Are we as individuals willing to pool our resources and power to make this happen?

The fourth consideration is, are we willing to give the peace away?  Are we willing to put peace ahead of our emphasis on materialistic greed?

In 1993 there was an experiment conducted in Washington, D.C. on just this concept.  There were several thousand people who came together to pray/meditate on peace.  This was a carefully controlled scientific demonstration carried out between June 7 and July 30, 1993.  A week or so after the start of the study, violent crime (HRA crime: Homicides, rapes and aggravated assaults, measured by FBI Uniform Crime Statistics) began decreasing and continued to drop until the end of the experiment.  In the end, the crime rate in Washington, D.C. was reduced by 23.3%.

Today, there are several groups of people who are joining together in meditation/prayer focusing on world peace.  These groups of people are located all over the world and their efforts are coordinated to meditate at the same time across all time zones.  Isn’t it interesting how world affairs are changed when people come together in unity to promote peace for all.

Prayer

I call on the Angel of Peace to help me be an army of one to bring forth peace within myself and this world.  I ask that my army of one, grows to an army of billions to bring peace into this world.  As, the song says, “Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me…”

I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes Part 9 by Janet Lynas, Ph.D., N.H.D.

Are you honest with yourself about what your heart’s truest desires are?  Do you know what your desires really are?

Glenn Clark in his book, I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes, talks about if we are being true to our own nature.  When we ask Divine Spirit for a desire, are we asking Him for that which is true to our own nature?  Do we really want what we ask for?  Sometimes we ask for something without really thinking through our request.  Are you willing to do your part in manifesting this heart’s desire?

We have to be aware of the things we ask for.  We have to make sure that our request is an honest request, that it is true to our nature.  Once you are positively certain that what you have asked for is really what you want, then you can confidently make your petition known to God.  With prayer, more than half the job is done when we are confident that we truly and honestly desire what we have asked for.

The soul’s sincere desires are prophecies of what we truly should have, or should be, or should possess.  We have to be true to our own honest desires.  If we ask ourselves one question, “is it honest?” and if it is honest and true to our nature, we the have the right to pray for it. Pages 58-60

Most of us are not honest with ourselves about what is best for us and  certainly have no idea about what we truly want.  In today’s society, it’s a hurry up and wait situation.  We have our noses stuck in our cell phones checking our email or social media or in someone else’s business.  We are on overload and overwhelmed with all the information that is thrown at us on a daily bases and at times on a minute to minute bases.

BE STILL!!! LISTEN TO WHAT YOUR HEART IS TELLING YOU!!!  We will not know what our honest desire is until we are still and listen to what Spirit Most High is whispering into our heart.

Prayer

Father, what is honest?  How can we be true to ourselves?  How do we know what is our heart’s truest desire?  God, rip down the veil of confusion and let your light of illumination shine through making clear to us what we need to know.  Let your light of truth filter into every dark corner clearing out all doubt.  Help us to become as hind’s feet and to know the honest truth in all things.  Thank you for your love.  Amen.

Memorial Day Thoughts by Janet Lynas, Ph.D., N.H.D.

I don’t say much on political issues, but today in light of the Memorial Day celebration I’m prompted to make a statement. I read a lot of comments on FB about other people being offended by our patriotism and our countries beliefs and our monuments that we hold dear.

I read a lot about being politically correct and cowering down so that someone doesn’t get their feelings hurt. I read about how other cultures want to change what American stands for.

But what are we standing for? Mostly all I see are Americans complaining, “If you don’t like our beliefs, then leave.” It’s all talk.

Yesterday the last Code Talker died. This brave young man, a brave in the truest sense of the word, joined the military to help defend our country. He did this despite how his people were treated by our government. I finished a book last night telling the story about how an estimated 605 Osage were murdered in the early 1920s for their mineral rights. Yet, these young men joined the war to fight for our country.

Again, I ask you? What are you standing up for when other cultures complain about our beliefs? Posting protest on FB is nothing more than words. What actions are you taking? What do you intend to do other than provide lip service to support our men and women in the military and in law enforcement?

We have elections coming up. Are you going to make known your outrage at how our government has caved in to people who are not citizens? Have you made your voice heard to government officials? Unless, you take action on your words, your words have no real meaning.

So, what are you going to do? Are you going to stand up for your country and support our military and law enforcement? Or are you just providing lip service and noise to the rhetoric?

Wednesday is the true Memorial Day. What will you be remembered for?

I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes Part 8 by Janet Lynas, Ph.D., N.H.D.

Dreams do come true.  How do you manifest your dreams?

Penelope tells Odysseus a tale of two gates that bring forth dreams to reality upon his return from 10 years of wandering.  The first gate is made of horn and the second gate is made of ivory.

The gate of ivory is carved and made by man, shaped and twisted by wish-thinking, prejudices and half-formed opinions, and is worthless.  These dreams fall to the ground.

The gate made of horn is made by God.  This gate requires only a little polishing  to make it seen in all its native power and beauty – that dream always come true.  Page 43

What is your dream?  Have you dreamed of taking Jesus at His word and placing all your heart’s desires in His hands?  Have you let Him bring your dream into reality in Divine timing and in Divine way?  Do you keep a journal of your Soul’s Sincere Desire?  Do you know that a soul’s sincere desire is always fulfilled?

I agree with Glenn Clark when he says, “I believe that our sincere desires are place in our hearts, are molded and fashioned there by the hand of God.”  These dreams are indicators of what we think in the deep recesses of our subconscious mind.  Every desire within our heart that is mature, sincere, complete, and which acknowledges God, is always a good desire.

Does your desire come from a personality integrated with both God and mankind? Is it a soul’s sincere desire?

Every desire that meets the two requirements above is always answered in heaven once converted into a prayer.  Every person whose dream comes true was first of all an unrepressed individual.  This individual knows and is unafraid to know what their honest, sincere desires in life are.  When we honestly know a thing to be true and when we hold true to this knowledge, it comes to pass.

“Know yourself.”  How many of us truly know ourselves?  How many of us are honest with ourselves?  Do we have blinders that only allow us to see ourselves as what we want to be?  How we want others to see us?  Or have we removed the blinders to see who we really are?  Few people learn this lesson.

“Control yourself.” A dream is not a true dream if it runs against the welfare of others.  A desire or prayer must mature and achieve growth before it can come forth and conquer the world.

“Deny yourself.”  Jesus taught us this.  He taught us to bring our sincere desire under control and into harmony the the highest good for all.  The final step for the dream to come true is to lose it.  The best way to lose it is to hand it over to Creator God.  It is almost impossible for us to give our desire over to to the will of the Father and let it become a soul’s sincere desire.  But if that desire is surrendered to I AM THAT I AM, the results are so irresistible, so unexplained, so wonderful beyond belief.

Plant the seeds of your prayers in the fertile soil of Creators love and watch them grow into full maturity.  See the fruit of your prayers ripening on the vine ready for the picking.

Are you integrated into yourself?  Are you sincere in your prayers?  Are you integrated with God and mankind?  Are your conscious desires integrated with your subconscious desires?  Are you walking with “feet like hinds”?  Are the things you’re praying for true to your own nature?

Look at your desires you have written down in your notebook and make sure they are true to your own nature.  We should pray for what we truly need, for the things that will help us to bring more perfect expression to our true nature.  Not everyone is able to care for the sick and dying.  There are those who are good at inspiring others to reach their goals.  An oak tree can be nothing other than an oak tree, be true to yourself.

You have to have a certain amount of courage and confidence in your prayer for it to be a spiritual virtue.  Pray with courage and confidence and you prayer will be answered according to God’s plan for you.  Ask Father what His divine inner plan is for your life.  Ask Him to reveal it to you and to bring it forth in perfect sequence and perfect order in such a way that is for the greatest good to the greatest number.  Nothing can change the nature of your prayer and nothing can prevent the fulfillment of your prayer if it is true to your nature. (pages 43- 58)

Meditation

The Lord is close to all who call on Him, to all who call out to Him in truth.  He will fulfill the desire of those who honor and love him.  Lord God preserves all who love Him, who worship Him in truth and spirit.

Prayer

Lord God, as we know the voice of our parents, may we know your voice when ever you speak to us.  May your voice speak within our soul.  AMEN

I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes Part 7 by Janet Lynas Ph.D., N.H.D.

FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM AND THE POWER AND THE GLORY FOR EVER

On the seventh day Glenn Clark talks about letting Christ enter into our life.  Mr. Clark has taught us how to ‘clean house’ so to speak up to this point with the seven Whatwhatsoever checks and the three Anything checks.  Once we have emptied out the selfish desires, then it is time to ask that the Christ  come into our life.  Christ can not come into our life until we invite Him in.

Jesus longs to enter in and join with us even more than we hunger for Him.  He wants to end the separation that we feel, the veil that keeps us separated is the lie that we have been told through countless generations.  In reality, we are not divided from Jesus except by our own doing.

Once we invite Christ to join with us, we then experience the electric-light power of His love, taking us into His family as a beloved brother or sister.  This beautiful expression of love lifts us to a higher plane of consciousness.  We soon learn that by surrendering to the love of Christ, if we ask for His guidance before we make a decision on anything, we will receive invaluable advice and information.

There is one thing that we must be very careful of and that is not to interfere with His action concerning the outcome of our petition.  The Christ requires our absolute trust.  Through the pathway of a peaceful mind only is He able to do His work.

Knowing that the presence of Jesus’ light has completely filled us with His very breath, and our good and most sincere desire is His desire, then is the time to contemplate the deepest wishes of the heart and know that we are able to enter into the holy of holies.  Our feet are becoming as hinds feet and tracking true to the desires of His will, our will aligns with the Savior’s will for us. (pages 39-42)

Meditation

I ask that you O Lord, dwell within Me as I dwell within you.  Nourish my roots, strengthen my branches so that the fruit of your love will bloom forth and grow.  I choose you and invited you to be the caretaker of the fruit of my life.  I ask that you remain within me and that whatsoever I ask, that is in the highest good for all and you may give it to me.

Prayer

Our blessed  Christ the Savior, I invite you to enter into me, to fill me completely, to take control of my life and my heart.  All that I have is yours.  I have no fear as long as you are with me.

I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes Part 6 by Janet Lynas

LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL

Glenn Clark ask us to consider temptations of the future.  He ask that we not look at the negative situations that can lead us into destruction, but to look at the positive side that can lead us away from the snares of life.

He ask us to make a list of past temptations and to think about the situations that created a problem for us.  After we make the list of temptations examine them, think about them and then burn them.  The act of burning them gives us an opportunity to bring all “four feet” into alignment in getting rid of the situations that can lure us away from our path.  We need to have a crystal clear idea of the roots of sin in the deepest recesses of our subconscious mind to protect us from future transgressions.

Glenn Clark ask us to “Look steadily at the good, not at the bad, at the things you want, not at the things of which you want to get rid of.”  Once we have looked at the negative aspects of our lives and cleaned out the festering wound that is caused by these transgressions, then it is time to look only at the good that we want in our lives.  This helps in convincing the subconscious that we are sincere.

The second way of convincing the subconscious is persistence.  By being consistent in our thinking on the positive and using statements such as, “I will to do the will of God,” this will convince the subconscious that we believe and mean what we say.

Glenn Clark urges us to put on the whole armor of God.  Clothed in the armor of truth and righteousness, very little can penetrate us.  Wearing sandals of peace, our feet are protected from the rocky path that could cause us to stumble and fall.

The helmet of salvation is the grace of God Himself surrounding our thoughts, our subconscious and conscious thoughts, and holding our hearts and minds in Jesus, so nothing can hurt us.  God’s sword of the spirit, which is His word will enable us to grow in grace, strength and power to help protect us and others.

Meditation

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them; for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee; He will not forsake thee (Deut. 31:6).

Prayer

Our Heavenly Father, with you by our side, we will have no fear, for we trust in You and You Alone.  You are a protector of Love, the provider of every good and perfect gift.  We abide within your eternal love and stand strong as a citadel, and no evil can reach us without first passing through You, and transforming our adversaries in the process.  Hold us close to Your Heart, accept our gratitude and our adoration and our love.  Amen.

I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes Part 5 by Janet Lynas Ph.D., N.H.D.

FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US

Forgiveness isn’t always easy.  Sometimes is seems impossible to forgive someone who has hurt us deeply.  Our heart has been broken and we are expected to forgive the person who hurt us, that doesn’t seem fair, especially when they have no regrets about their actions.  But, what about the times you hurt someone?  Did you have remorse?  Did you as forgiveness?  Did you think, “They deserved it because of the way they acted towards me.”  We have all hurt others whether or not we meant to.  We don’t want to see our “shadow side”, the side of us that is considered sinful.  It’s painful to realize that we have a dark side.

Mr. Clark tells us that: IF YOU HATE JUST ONE INDIVIDUAL IN THE WORLD, BY JUST THAT MUCH YOU ARE SEPARATED FROM GOD HIMSELF.

Think about that statement.  Are our feet like hind’s feet?  No, our feet have failed to track true.  If we have cause injustice to anyone, we have done an injustice to God.  If we have lied to just one person, then we have lied to God.  If we have hated just one person, then we have hated our Father.  How can Creator God forgive us, if we can’t or will not forgive others?  We have to forgive others before He can forgive us.

Jesus tells us that, “For if you forgive men their trespasses , your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.”

How do we go about seeing our “shadow side” and having reconciliation with it?  Take out a piece of paper, make a list of the qualities you have in the shadows that you don’t want to admit to having, even to yourself.  Try to make the list as complete as possible.  This list is just between you and Father God.  Be honest, absolutely honest with yourself.  Once your list is complete, look over it very carefully.  As, you look at each fault, see the side of that emotion or action that is the opposite.  Behind greed is generosity, behind anger is love.  Once you have completed this task, take the piece of paper and burn it.  Release the shadow side to God and ask Father to forgive you.  As the paper burns with the list of transgressions you have listed, you are being forgiven and released from these burdens.  From the ashes, rises a brand-new self which you so eagerly wish to become.

When we are sick, we lie on the bed and rest and wait for our body to begin to heal.  The blood cleanses our body of the impurities, draws away the pus from the injured and infected tissues and restores them.  The blood has the power to rebuild tissues that have been destroyed.  Next the blood has the power of controlling the development of any part of the body, a power that reaches into the future.

The power of blood means the power of love! If blood can bring recovery to the body, love has the power to redeem the wounds of the personality.  Love can make the wounded personality whole again, until it becomes a child of God.  Open your heart to absolute trust in this cleansing of the personality as Father forgives you.

Meditation

Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool (Isa. 1:18).

Prayer

Father God, we thank you that You are a God of unlimited compassion, willing and able to grant to us far more than we ask of you.  Blot out all our transgressions, clean us of all iniquity, redeem our hungry, thirsting souls.  Hold us in Your love forever.  Amen    (pages 31 – 35)

I Wil Lift Up Mine Eyes Part 4 by Janet Lynas

Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread

Today we learn to pray for our bodies to be God’s.  Most of Jesus’ ministry was healing the body for those who came to him for help.

Glenn Clark tells a story about visiting a friend who served him some orange juice.  As the ice cubes melted the juice became richer in flavor.  The ice cubes were made from orange juice and as they melted instead of diluting the juice, they made the flavor richer.    This is what God wants to do for our bodies by filling us with Himself.  God wants to fill us with His spirit in the form of ideas, emotions, and love.  This is the bread of our life, to be filled with Creator’s Love.    We are however, the body of Christ.  If we pray with faith for an inspiration for our spirit, why shouldn’t we pray with faith for bread, for food for our bodies?  There is nothing unheavenly or unspiritual in God’s Kingdom about asking for food or money to take care of our bodies.

We must surrender all aspects of our physical bodies to our Father, all four feet so to speak, our soul, our minds, our heart, and strength. Ask three more promises by using for our daily bread.

Glenn Clark tells us to ask for:

  1. I ask Thee, O Father, for the health and strength that will enable me to serve Thee, and never fail Thee.   “Ask and it shall be given to you…” (Matt. 7:7-8)
  2. I seek, from Thee, O Father, the money and things that will supply the resources for a creative and fruitful life.  “Ask and it shall be given to you …”(Matt. 7:7-8)
  3. Open the door, O Father, to the right work that will enable me to make my finest contribution to mankind.   “Knock, and it shall be opened unto you..(Matt.7:7-8)                                                                                                                                                           Meditation:  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dweller in you? (I Coe. 3:16.                                                                                                           Prayer: Our Father, we know that Thou art the Bread of Life, he that cometh to Thee shall never hunger;  Thou are the Water of Life, he that believeth on Thee shall never thirst.  Make us pure channels for manifesting Thy love and Thy abundance in the daily round of life.  Amen.  (pages 29-31)

I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes Part 3 by Janet Lynas

THY WILL BE DONE IN EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN

Glenn Clark on the third day of the Lord’s Prayer looks at God’s will being done in earth as it is in heaven.  When Jesus uses the word “earth”, it is not limited to this planet we live on, but is really referring to manifestation or expression as the result of a cause.  A cause or thought has to be expressed or manifested before we can know anything about it and on the flip side, every expression or manifestation has to have a cause.  Causation is a mental act and everything that we experience is but a manifestation of our own mental states.  Earth means the whole of our outer experience and to have His will be done in Earth is to have dominion over our thoughts and adaptation to God.  How do we make our will, God’s will?

When we ask God to send the right people at the right time into our lives, we have to be open to accepting those people He sends to us.  We must keep an open mind, because at first glance, they may not seem like the right people for us.

We must be patient with what may seem like a poor idea or mistakes we sometimes make when trusting God.  We have to be more forgiving and tolerant of other people, we must also show this tolerance to ourselves.  Once the mistake is over, rectify it and put it in the past.  Take care of the business at hand.  Forgive those who have wronged you and wipe the slate clean.  God does this for us, He never does anything halfway.   We have to follow His example.

So, the first lesson I AM gives in training our ‘will’ is in making us meet Him halfway.  Once we complete the series of disciplines that Source is working on with us, then we will see that He goes all the way with us.

  • See that your intention is right and God will look after the result.
  • Glenn Clark tells us to say out loud 20 times: I will to will the WILL of God.  Repeating it 20 times helps it to vibrate into the subconscious mind.  The first will is the man will, the third is the God will, and the second is the will-in-action.
  • Once the first and last wills come into perfect alignment, they will bring forth that will which manifests itself in action.

This resolution, when made with clear intent, will set you on high places if your feet are as the hind’s.

Meditation:

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass (Ps. 37:5).

Prayer:  (from St. Ignatius Loyola)

Take, O Lord, and receive my entire liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my whole will.  All that I am, all that I have, Thou hast given me, and I will give it back again to Thee to be disposed of according to Thy good pleasure.  Give me only Thy love and Thy grace; with Thee I am rich enough, nor do I ask for aught besides.
