There’s a song with the words, “I can see clearly now that the rain has gone…” by Jimmy Cliff.  I recommend you listen to the song. This song is about seeing life as being a good, bright and sun shiny day.

Do you have 20/20 vision?

Is your glass half filled or half empty? What is your outlook on life?  We are ending not only a year, but we are ending a decade.  Can you see clearly how far you have come in the last ten years?  See your strength that has brought you through the last decade.  You have overcome challenges that might have involved your health, finances or your family dynamics may have been tested to the limits. Yes, you’ve learned many life lessons and grown from the experiences.  You are most likely exhausted and needing rest.

Go within, the growth pains need to be released from the last ten years.  Feel the pain, let it pass through you, don’t hold on to it.  Now is the time to purge all the toxic debris left in the wake of the storm.  Take the time to rest and recover from these life’s lessons.  Sometimes the lessons are painful, but they are necessary for growth. At times, this means leaving behind people we love, but who are no longer on the same page as we are.  Each person grows at their own rate, however, we can’t stand still when our loved one is growing at a slower rated than we are.  They may or may not catch up.  Let them travel their own journey.

Now is the time to set intentions for the year 2020 and for the next decade.  Clearly see what you want to manifest into your life.  It’s time to reap the harvest from the last ten years of toil!

How do you set intentions?

Go into a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.  Breathe slowly, just focus on you breathing.  Let the “monkey chatter” of the mind pass through.  Don’t try to fight it, but don’t dwell on it either.  Bring your focus back to your breathing.  As your mind starts to quieten, ask yourself, “What do I really want?”  Allow the answer to come forth.  Don’t try to direct what the answer will be.  Listen from your heart, not your mind.  Your heart knows what you want, listen to it!

Once you have identified what your intentions are, give yourself permission to welcome these desires to enter into your life.  Don’t set a time limit on when they will appear.  Feel the joy and excitement in having these desires come alive in your existence.  Then plant this intention in the feelings of joy and excitement then watch as it takes root.  See it grow to maturity.  You will be amazed as it becomes reality.

Open your mind and heart to see the possibilities!

Look beyond the illusions in life.  See the reality in each situation.  Create what you want your life to be.  You are the creator of your life.  Be active in living life, don’t just go through life without passion or purpose!  Are you living your life?  Or are you just passing through, numb to your feelings and what’s going on around you?  If you’re just going through the motions, stop!  Find your passion!  Find your purpose!  Experience life!
